Plywood Chandelier - 2010 / Rossana Orlandi

Plywood Chandelier was chosen by Rossana Orlandi to be shown in her gallery in Milan during 2010. Exhibited at Salone Satellite/Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2010 Milano.

A chandelier undressed. Like a plain drawing or construction. Simple and delicate.
A chandelier looking back and ahead - made in wood as the first ones during the Middle Ages but with modern technique as the lazer cutting.
An old symbol of luxury and status in plywood with burned edges and energy saving light.
A chandelier of the 21th century.

Material: Lazercut plywood, burned edges. Energy saving light bulb.

Raw Garden - 2010

Raw Garden was exhibited at Salone Satellite/Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2010 Milano.

Raw Garden is inspired by my grandmother´s view from her favourite place on her terrace - a tribute to the happiness and peacefulness of enjoying the nature.

Tree trunks are stretching and making spaces and shadows - leaves are playing in the wind - a bird is sitting on the top of his nest, watching from his best spot.

Raw Garden combines old ancient art of intarsia with rough recycled plywood - a mix between fine and exclusive technique and building plywood.

Raw Garden is made of plywood and steel. The doors are in recycled building plywood with painted intarsia. The legs are in 5 mm steel, dark and slightly rusty - coloured. The shelves are in steel as well.

Grand Central in co-operation with Sigrid Strömgren - 2010 / Rossana Orlandi

Grand Central was chosen by Rossana Orlandi to be shown in her gallery in Milan during 2010. Grand Central was exhibited at Salone Satellite/Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2010 and chosen to be shown at Imm Cologne D3 Young Designers Contest 2010.

Grand Central is a collaboration between Sanna Lindström and Sigrid Strömgren.

Grand Central is an innovative expandable table that transforms from space-saving occasional table to the central piece of the room. The tabletop is divided into 22 pieces that folds out in a spectacular way through its advanced construction. Dramatic and poetic at the same time. The inspiration comes from a pop-up map of New York.

Material: Lacquered plywood and mdf.

Torso - 2010/2005
 

Torso was exhibited at Salone Satellite/Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2010 and at Stockholm Furniture Fair 2005.

Torso consists of one unit or two or several units put together.

Torso can both be piled and put beside each other in different ways. There are a great many variations of its appearance.

Torso has several functions - as storage, sideboard, shelf, room-divider, coffee table, stool and bench.

Torso plays with your eye and gets the user into action. The possibility to change gives long and lasting design.

Material: lacquered mdf in different colours.

Birch - 2010/2007/2006
 

Birch was exhibited at Salone Satellite/Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2010 and at Stockholm Furniture Fair 2007/2006 and Formex in Stockholm 2006.

Birch is a stool or a sideboard with a thin birch base dressed with thin plywood and on its top birch veneer.

A small piece of furniture that is itself and without concealments.

Two beautiful sides and light as a feather.

Material: massive birch, birch plywood and birch veneer.

Sign - 2009 / 2007 / Karl Andersson & Söner

Sign is in production by Karl Andersson& Söner since 2009. Examina project from Carl Malmsten 2007.

Sign is one or several units piled or put together in different ways.

Sign consists of different bases, add-on sections and top panels. The dividing walls on the add-on sections can be turned. Sign components are available in eight coloured lacquered finishes.

A-serien/A - series for Heirloom in production since 2008.

A-series is a children furniture series and is designed to suit the children´s needs from a baby and up.

With its classical modern design combined with smartness and humour it creates long and lasting design and evoke happiness in alla of us.

For example the rabbit box is not only popular by the children but also by adults as well and can be used as storage for hats and gloves in the hall or as magazine holder in the living room.
